PESA is seeking a volunteer Webinar Coordinator to oversee and continue the successful PESA Webinar Program, which has been running for more than six years and delivers regular technical presentations to the geoscience community.
Webinars are held fortnightly, typically on Tuesdays, and attract audiences from across Australia and internationally.
The Webinar Coordinator is responsible for:
- Working with the PESA Board to source and schedule webinar speakers.
- Liaising with speakers to obtain abstracts, biographies and presentation information.
- Creating webinar event pages on the PESA website and webinar platform (e.g. GoToWebinar or equivalent).
- Hosting webinars, including introductions, PESA announcements, and moderation of audience questions.
- Coordinating post-event activities, including uploading recordings to the PESA Webinar Library.
This voluntary role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the Australian geoscience community, engage with industry experts, and help deliver one of PESA’s most successful and enduring member services. It would be particularly well suited to an early-career geoscientist looking to broaden their professional network and develop relationships across the industry.
