2023 HORSTMAN FEDERAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

The Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia is offering a postgraduate scholarship to eligible students currently conducting research in an energy geoscience related project within Australia. The award, known as the Horstman Federal Postgraduate Scholarship, consists of an annual prize of $5000 to the successful recipient as part of PESA’s program to promote and encourage subsurface energy geoscience research and education in Australia.

A prize of $1,000 will be awarded to the author of the best Honours, Masters or PhD thesis or associated research paper submitted in 2022 that focuses on petroleum or related energy resource geoscience of the Northern Territory. PhD theses by publication may be represented by a nominated chapter prepared or submitted as a research paper for peer-review in 2022.
