Welcome to the new news delivery format, the PESA Gazette. This new format is designed to answer the needs of the members for an easier click through email experience that does not require anything to be downloaded. Hopefully you will find the quality of the content to be unchanged.
In order for PESA to keep evolving and moving forwards in the direction our members want us to, it is important for us to know and understand who our members are, what they want, and how they would like us to achieve this. To this end PESA has sent out an email entitled “Help shape the future – complete the PESA membership survey 2024” with a link to complete this survey. This link is unique to the email address it was sent to, so you need to click through from your own email. If you haven’t seen this email, please check your junk mailboxes, as we would really like to hear from as many of you as possible. There is an added incentive that one of the respondents will be chosen at random to attend a PESA talk of their choice for free as a prize. The responses are anonymous to us. Only the computer knows who has responded.
The PESA board will be meeting in October to prepare our 5 year strategy, and we need to be armed with the results of this membership survey to ensure that we set a course in the right direction. I’m sure every president feels that the strategy set under their watch is going to be the most important one ever for the organisation. But I truly believe that PESA is at a critical point, where the decisions made this October will shape the trajectory of PESA for decades to come.
This means if you only ever fill out one membership survey in the whole time you are a member, make it this one, and have your voice heard.
