PESA WA held their annual AGM and Christmas Luncheon at The Hilton on 18 th December, with over 135 people attending. Past events held during 2025 were summarised by Fiona Burns (PESA WA president), while Peter Hoiles (Treasurer) provided an overview of the years’ finances. During 2025, PESA WA held regular monthly talks, as well as numerous workshops and courses provided by energy experts from Australia, and from overseas such as Mark Bentley, Henry Posamentier, John Holbrock and Steve Hasiotis.

Our guest speaker, Julia Davies, is energy industry professional with over forty years of experience in the industry. In 2020, Julia founded InCapture, a carbon capture and storage exploration company. She provided the audience with an exciting and humorous overview of her career during her talk entitled : Roughnecks and Reindeers: Stories of Strength and Spirit! Julia had special support by “little Elfie” throughout her talk. Thank you, Elfie!!

Numerous companies supported the event through the generous donations of a range of raffle prizes. Those companies include Delft Inversion, Strike, IKON, SLB, Axiom Edge Solutions, Task Fronterra and “On My Feet” (OMF). The raffle raised over $1350 for the charity OMF, a group who, through mentoring and exercise including running and entering running events in Perth and around Australia, get those people in our community in need literally back on their feet.

Awards for Longstanding PESA members were also made at this Lunch, with a significant number choosing to collect in person.

PESA WA would like to thank all those who supported PESA through giving talks and webinars. We also wish to thank all sponsors for their ongoing support throughout 2025. We look forward to continuing to provide the energy community with a range of networking opportunities, educational workshops and courses, and hopefully a fieldtrip, during 2026.
