Geoscience data service provider Searcher has entered into a strategic partnership with upstream explorer NVentures for hosting and integrating the NVentures competitor intelligence database on its advanced geo-imagery search engine – GeoClerk.

The partnership will provide users of GeoClerk with the ability to add the NVentures database onto their GeoClerk subscription. Searcher said that in doing so, users will be able to search for geo-imagery through GeoClerk’s open-file database and the NVentures database with the platform intelligently identifying and classifying images into relevant categories.

Geological gems

The NVentures global E&P database consists of geology-rich reporting, maps and presentations, providing valuable and up to date information and insight to exploration teams monitoring upstream activity and local exploration results. This includes subsurface context with unique joint venture collaboration, and timely actionable intelligence to support New Ventures and Business Development groups analysing opportunities, trends and the farm-out market. Service companies utilise the NVentures product suite to determine market focus and resource priorities.

GeoClerk is an advanced geo-imagery search engine, utilising machine learning to intelligently extract imagery and surrounding data from all types of documents, classifying them into intuitive and geologically relevant categories. In addition to searching publicly accessible content on the internet, GeoClerk searches for proprietary content held within several of its plug-ins from institutional and government databases.

Alan Hopping, VP for Searcher, said, “We are very pleased to welcome and develop the new partnership with NVentures. The NVentures database is a valuable resource within the industry and a great addition to the GeoClerk platform.”

“GeoClerk is a platform through which geoscientists around the world can at last access not only their own data but also GeoClerk’s growing inventory of proprietary databases. The addition of the NVentures plugin to GeoClerk will allow our users to search through years of highly technical data in an instant, saving them hours of endless research by having all available data accessible via one centralised and searchable platform, GeoClerk,” Alan Hopping stated.

Peter Elliott, Director NVentures Ltd said “NVentures clients know and appreciate the value of collaboration in the exploration industry, and we are proud and excited to continue this valuable tradition with GeoClerk from Searcher Seismic. NVentures is working hard with its Joint Venture partners on behalf of our clients, and GeoClerk will provide an efficient platform from which to find and utilise vital E&P activity information, along with other vital industry sources.”
