Abstract
Electricity, gas and petrol prices are all going up. The world is experiencing the biggest energy price shock since the 1970s and there are blackouts and threats of shortages. However, petroleum exploration is in the doldrums globally. What’s going on? Freak weather, COVID, extinction rebellion, botched decarbonisation, Ukraine war, energy weaponization? Whatever the causes oil and gas is copping the blame. Graeme will go behind the headlines to provide an independent perspective on current developments and what we might expect.
