Biography –

Dr Graeme Bethune is CEO of EnergyQuest, an independent Australian energy advisory firm that he and his wife Susan founded in 2005. Prior to founding EnergyQuest Graeme spent a decade in senior executive roles with Santos.

EnergyQuest specialises in business intelligence and advice for companies and governments, with a focus on oil, gas, electricity and the energy transition.

Graeme is the author of major EnergyQuest reports and has undertaken numerous consulting assignments on energy for Australian and international clients, particularly on natural gas and LNG

Graeme was until recently Chairman of the Australian Gas Industry Trust, a Board Member of the International Gas Union and the IGU’s Regional Coordinator for North Asia and Australasia.

He has a first-class honours degree in economics from Monash University, a PhD from the Australian National University, and has undertaken the executive program at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
