PESA NSW August Technical Meeting

Presentation by AEMO

AEMO are a Federal Government body established to monitor, report on and manage with another Government Body and some of the Government finance arms the entire Australian energy market. People have no real idea just how massively complicated the Grid actually is and until AEMO became active in seeking to educate Australians just how important their role is, especially on the East Coast, the Grid was something of a Black Hole manipulated by the political elements of our society. AEMO has issued in its two recent Reports to Parliament (published widely) extremely worrying determinations that the East Coast of Australia is most likely going to suffer energy black-outs in the coldest and hottest months of 2025 through 2027. Our speaker will be addressing these critical issues along with the role gas will play in filling holes during downturns in electricity generation.
