Geoscience Australia – PESA QLD: Adavale Basin Core Review – Focus on the Boree Salt – 15th March

Tuesday, 15 March, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Australia/Brisbane time)

$55.00 – $75.00

Due to the storms on the East Coast of Australia we are moving this event to the 15th of March

PESA Queensland in association with Geoscience Australia is organising a special event at the Geological Survey of Queensland Exploration Data Centre.

The recent announcement of Geoscience Australia’s Cooper-Adavale Strategic Basin Plan, the 2021 Queensland Exploration Program, which released acreage over much of the Basin and the focus on Greenhouse Gas and Hydrogen storage in Salt deposits has led to renewed interest in the basin and a review of existing data.

This special event will allow attendees to view the core and cuttings of all the boreholes that intersected the Boree Salt along with talks and presentations on the history of the Basin,  exploration activity and petroleum systems and a review of seismic reprocessing to better image salt boundaries.

This is a full day event with talks in the morning and access to core in the afternoon and is an opportunity to collaborate and share knowledge.

If you have any questions or topics you would like to cover please email using this link.
