Abstract:

Modest to high exploration success rates have been maintained in the Bridge operated portions of AlP 145P and associated Petroleum Lease (PL) Nos. 15, 16, 18 and 19. Relatively low cost and high deliverability gas reserves continue to be found in the Triassic Showground Formation. A newly established oil fairway in the south of the permit exemplifies the diverse and potentially commercial nature of the area.
ATP 145P has recently been subject to accelerated drilling activity by both joint venture and farmout arrangements. In perceived oil prone areas, multi -well programmes have been initiated through farmout.
Exploration for gas has recently been stimulated by potential new market opportunities as well as requirements of existing markets. Momentum from these factors has resulted in relatively high activity rates through the oil price collapse of 1986.
