Abstract:
Petrophysical analysis techniques are continually evolving and maturing, providing new techniques to interpret the logging curves with which we are all familiar - Resistivity (Induction or Laterolog) Density, Neutron, Gamma Ray and Sonic. In addition, each successive generation of logging tool brings advances in electronics, detectors and tool physics which has resulted in improved accuracy of measurement, better resolution, greater stability and reliability, shorter physical tool lengths and faster logging speeds.
