Abstract:
The Permo-Triassic Pedirka Basin is predicted to extend into the southwestern corner of Queensland on the basis of gravity and outcrop patterns and seismic interpretation. Oil generation and good reservoir rocks are proven in the basin in the South Australian portion. A Queensland portion may also contain a prospective section of Permo-Triassic or Jurassic rocks.
