Abstract:
The drilling and completion techniques used by the four companies who have operated in Queensland in the past twelve to eighteen months are broadly similar, and are conventional. These techniques are detailed herein. Drilling conditions are good, and no major operational problems are experienced.Costs have risen at a higher rate than can be attributed to inflation, and are due largely to the high cost of s ervices which in turn are a consequence of the low level of drilling activity in Australia since the early 1970's.
