Abstract:
During 2000 / 2001 PGS acquired a 10,000 km² multi-client survey in the South China Sea, northwest of the coast of the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam. The production of a high-quality 10,000 km² multi-client dataset was executed in world record time, complete with multiple volumes of stack, migration, angle gathers and stacks, pre- and post-survey technical analyses, and interpretational products. One of the key factors in the project turnaround was the massive allocation of linked onboard and onshore processing facilities, and the active use of visualisation technology during both QC and post-survey analysis.
