Abstract:
Sandy Rintoul is thanked for his comments and awarded a Scottyl for his discovery that Playfair turned to Playford. No excuse -- though the 'ford is more than passing fair with words too. The adjacent letter was a shock: PESA accused of sexism! Some male PESA persons were photographed with a comely lass, bikini-briefed and reclining across their laps, while they read and found more interest (or so pretended) in the PESA NEWS. Publishing this was said to be sexist by 'the signatories below' -- though they weren't. So, this column is written in defence of our esteemed editor, and sex is the word of the day -- or, more precisely, sexism.
