Abstract:
The Teacher Earth Science Education Programme (TESEP), was developed out of conversations with geologist Greg McNamara and other enthusiastic Earth Science educators in 2007. With the help of seed funding from PESA, under the guidance of ExxonMobil geologist and TESEP Chairperson, Jill Stevens, this idea escalated into a major educational initiative. The aim of TESEP is to raise the capacity of middle school (Years 7-10) teachers to effectively teach the Earth Science components of the curriculum by developing and delivering teacher orientated professional development workshops.
