PESA will be hosting track sessions at the Australian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG) at the Perth Convention Centre on Friday, February 24.
Under the theme of, Exploration for oil and gas: New techniques and concepts, chair Andres Gongora, Immediate Past-President WA Branch, will facilitate discussion after three leading industry professionals have made their presentations.
Ralf Opperman, director OPPtimal Resource Solutions, will open the session at 2.30pm with his presentation entitled, A new dimension in fault recognition from seismic implications for the exploration and development of resources.
At 3.00pm Ameed Ghori, Senior Geologist, Geological Survey of Western Australia, Department of Mines and Petroleum, will be on the podium discussing: Hidden potential in tight petroleum reservoirs of Western Australia, a review.
At 3.55 pm Wesley Emery, Petrophysicist, iRPM Pty Ltd, will close out the session with his presentation: Reservoir petrophysical modelling from seismic impedance volumes.
The AOG Conference is Australia’s biggest oil and gas event by numbers and this year the gathering features Woodside as a principal sponsor.
The Conference runs from February 22 to 24 and a major theme will be collaboration and subsea forums, in conjunction with the knowledge forum, among the major events to be staged at this year’s event.
