Norwest Energy has commenced preparatory operations for the 148km Ringneck 2D seismic program as the acquisition crew mobilises to Western Australia with acquisitions imminent.
The Perth-based explorer said the Lockyer Deep-1 well was all set for perforation of the Kingia reservoir interval, but this had been postponed due to contractor delays in mobilising equipment to site.
Nevertheless, the testing program remained on schedule to begin on or around March 9 after the mobilisation of crew and equipment from Buru Energy’s Rafael-1 well test. The perforation had been postponed due to contractor delays in acquiring necessary equipment.
The company has begun on-ground preparatory operations for its Ringneck 2D seismic program and was awaiting the arrival of the main acquisition crew to Western Australia when the state’s border opens on Friday.
Norwest said the acquisition was expected to be complete by the end of March.
