PESA is offering several bursaries of up to $500 to students and early career geoscientists nationwide to attend the AEGC 2023 in Brisbane. The bursaries can be used for travel arrangements (flights and accommodation) and conference registration. Bursaries will be awarded on the basis of one recipient per State Branch.
For Brisbane applicants, the bursary can only be used for the cost of registration fees.
Applicants must hold a current Student or Graduate PESA Membership. Applicants must also have submitted an abstract that has been accepted by the AEGC for either an oral or poster presentation; AND/OR submitted to present at the Student & Early Career GEOPITCH conference competition.
Each recipient will be required to submit a short post-conference write-up for the PESA News publication.
Receipts and invoices will be required for payment of the bursary. Note, Early Career geoscientists are defined as having <5 years of industry experience with a current Graduate PESA membership.
