Abstract:
Petroleum sourced from Late Carboniferous to Late Triassic successions of the Gondwanan-Westralian Super-systems have historically been a secondary target for hydrocarbon exploration on the North West Shelf of Australia. However, recent developments, as evidenced by significant discoveries within Triassic reservoirs in the Bedout Sub-basin, have reinforced the need for new multidisciplinary studies and analyses of the prospectivity of the Triassic and older successions.
