Abstract:
An escalation could put nearly 1 million barrels per day (bpd) of Iranian oil production at risk. In an escalation scenario, Iran could block the busy Strait of Hormuz trade route, disrupting up to 12 million barrels per day (bpd) of oil supply, amplifying the impact on crude markets worldwide.
