Two scientists in France who went looking for fossil fuels have stumbled upon a huge reservoir estimated to contain between 6 million and 250 metric tons of natural hydrogen.
CNN reported that Jacques Pironon and Philipe De Donato, both directors at France’s National Centre of Scientific Research were assessing methane in subsoils of the Lorraine mining basin using a specialised probe able to analyze gases dissolved in the water of rock formations when they discovered the hydrogen haul.
