Perth Basin Pitch – Cutting Edge Technologies Matched to Industry Need

Event details:

The Perth Basin Pitch, held by PESA WA in conjunction with Ascendience Geoscience, is a one-day interactive workshop to match cutting edge technologies with industry need. With a pipeline of major resource projects and considerable yet to find exploration potential this highly prospective region is attracting considerable attention.

Effective solutions to sub-surface technical challenges facing successful field development and production, as well as future exploration success, will ensure cost-effective and timely project delivery, but choosing the best technologies to deploy is critical to this goal.

Vendors from the service industry, Academia and R&D organisations are invited to pitch technology solutions addressing a range of sub-surface issues that represent potential barriers to project success across themes of Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics and Reservoir Engineering. Twenty short “pitch” style presentations will be delivered, addressing a range of sub-surface uncertainties.  An interactive group discussion session will be used to rank the proposed solutions against perceived need and value creation potential using a consistent format.

The closing hour will comprise an overview session to provide decision makers within E&P companies an executive summary of the proposed technology solutions.

Attendance by industry representatives from E&P companies is complimentary by registration. 

Technology vendors are invited to submit a summary outlining their solution-based approach using a provided template. Pitch presentations will be strictly limited to 10 minutes, including time for questions. Those selected to pitch charged a minimal $550 fee (inclusive of GST) to cover workshop expenses.

Applications to pitch close Friday 18th August 2023.

The organising committee will review and select successful submissions, with notification of successful pitchers and confirmation of the event program to be finalised by August 21st, 2023.

Where: Dexus Place, Level 16, 240 St Georges Terrace, Perth.

Date: Wednesday 13 September, 2023.

Time: 8:30am-5:30pm.

Ticket Prices:

Pitcher: $550.00 (inclusive of GST).

PESA Member Attendee: Free with registration.

PESA Non-Member Attendee: Free with registration.

Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch are provided.

Guidelines for Pitchers

A maximum of 20 pitches will be accepted.  Pitches will be selected by the Event Convenors, whose decisions are final.

One pitch per company will be accepted if over-subscribed (i.e. >20 pitch proposals received).  Additional pitches may be possible if maximum numbers (20) are not reached.  These will be allocated solely at the discretion of the Event Convenors.

Pitch presentations will be strictly limited to 10 minutes, with additional time for group discussion.

Cost: $550 (inclusive of GST) per pitch (to cover workshop expenses)

The Perth Basin Pitch will introduce cutting edge technology solutions to address sub-surface challenges and help in the recognition of new opportunities in the highly productive Perth Basin.  The workshop serves as a forum to match technology solutions against industry need, providing an introduction that allows for future detailed project proposals to be developed for funding consideration independently of the workshop.

The workshop is ideally aimed at Perth Basin E&P company professionals and those with interests in the Perth Basin.
