2026 PESA QLD Symposium – A Must-Attend Event for Energy Industry Professionals!
The annual PESA QLD Symposium is back in 2025, and this year’s theme is Energy: Where to from Here?
This year the Symposium will be held on Monday, 7th September 2026 at the Brisbane Conference and Exhibition Centre (Plaza Level P1 & P2).
The PESA QLD Symposium is a full day event focused on bringing together members of the petroleum and energy exploration and production industry here in Queensland. Local and Interstate specialist speakers are invited to present a series of papers which address the industry activity within the state from a technical, economic, and social perspective.
This year’s theme will explore the opportunities and challenges surrounding energy security and resilience in Australia, particularly within the context of energy exploration, development, and supply.
Key sub-themes include:
- Energy Security
- Energy Resilience
- New Frontiers
- Technology/AI for Energy Assessment and Development
- Alternative Energy Sources
- Energy Transition
- Political/Geopolitical Volatility
The symposium will feature a diverse program of keynote and technical presentations addressing energy security, resource development, emerging technologies, and the evolving role of petroleum and gas in Australia’s energy transition.
Highlights will include insights from Sam McCulloch, Chief Executive Australian Energy Producers on current and future energy requirements, and a unique historical perspective on petroleum geoscience and the energy transition from the Australian Geoscience Champion, Peter Moore.
This year’s program will also feature speakers from a range of companies, consultancies, and institutions including the Australian Carbon Vault, Molyneux Advisors, CSIRO, Omega Oil and Gas, Elixir Energy, Denison Gas, OGT Energy, Bridgeport, and more.
