PESA NSW Meeting Tuesday April 9

We do not have unfortunately have a speaker for our next scheduled meeting on Tuesday
April 9th . Rather than cancel our meeting your executive has decided to have a discussion
about the content of the recently widely circulated short movie/video Climate The Movie (The
Real Truth) which can be seen on

The movie is unusual in that it summarises a sceptical view of climate change accepting that,
yes, the earth is warming but not as much as claimed and is a natural result of emerging from
a “mini-ice-age”. The very distinguished speakers also doubt the effect of carbon dioxide in
the observed warming and stress that current levels are unusually low compared to past
geological ages, dropping to dangerously low levels during the last Ice age.

One of the frustrating things I find is the lack of (readily accessible) basic data to support the
many assertions in this and other presentations on the subject. Do the famous Greenland ice
cores really show temperature rise preceding a rise in atmospheric CO2? Is the level of the
Pacific Ocean really rising? Original references and copies, if possible, would be welcome.
Anyway please come to what I hope will be an interesting and, I hope, worthwhile experiment.
