We Shouldn’t Be Here: A Cosmological and Geological Look at How Lucky We Are
Presented by Rob Kirk (Rob Kirk Consultants)
Abstract
This talk is about how lucky homo sapiens is to be here. There are many unlikely scenarios that had to occur for this to happen and, if replayed, it is unlikely that we would be here. We will start at the Big Bang and consider things ET, along with Plate Tectonics and the many close shaves we had to extinction. Weird water will be examined, along with how did life start and the part that Milankovitch cycles played in our development. There will be one seismic line.
