Abstract
Energy geoscience has an important role to play in the energy transition and decarbonisation. Members are now able to join the Energy Transition Special Interest Group (ETSIG) which is a free benefit to all PESA members, providing access to webinars, technical workshops, and networking opportunities with Australian and global experts in areas such as: Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Geothermal energy resources, Hydrogen production and geological storage, Enhanced Oil/Gas Recovery, green development of oil & gas fields.
In this first webinar, Ishtar will provide information about the special interest group, how to join and upcoming events. Ishtar will also give an overview of Carbon Capture and Sequestration around the world and some of the projects in Australia and the role of geoscientists in CCS.
