Abstract:
Dryland environments of deposition form an important part of the rock record, and understanding the processes governing sediment distribution is important for predicting their reservoir, seal, and migration pathway properties. A cross-discipline collaboration integrating geomorphology and sedimentology aims to develop process-based facies models from Australia’s Lake Eyre Basin (LEB), a presently under-utilised modern analogue for fluvial processes in a dryland setting.
