Abstract:
Early Palaeozoic Warburton Basin underlies the gas and oil productive Cooper and Eromanga Basins; three wells flowed commercial oil and gas from Warburton Basin sediments in 1990. The Middle and Late Cambrian Kalladeina Formation is about 1600 metres thick and contains potential reservoirs such as vuggy and oomoldic dolomites.
