Abstract:
The Ngalia Basin is an elongate intracratonic basin encompassing 16,000 square kilometres of the southern part of the Northern Territory (Fig. 1). It is situated 80 km north of the Amadeus Basin which hosts over 55 million barrels of proven original in-place oil and condensate and over 1.2 trillion cubic feet of proven original gas-in-place. The Ngalia Basin was contiguous with the Amadeus Basin through much of its geologic history.
