Abstract:
The Officer Basin occurs in one of the most arid and inaccessible regions of the Australian continent and for that reason is perhaps the most poorly understood of the continent's intracratonic basins. The Officer Basin Project is a five year basin study program developed co-operatively between the Australian Geological Survey Organisation and the South Australian Department of Mines and Energy as part of the Nationdl Geoscience Mapping Accord.
