Abstract:

Sequence stratigraphic concepts are used to identify and analyse depositional sequences in theNeoproterozoic -Cambrian succession (Pertaoorrta Group) of the intracratonic Amadeus Basin. This analysis is based largely on the recognition of facies discontinuities and biostratigraphic hiatuses in field outcrops and well-logs, and is integrated with seismic data.
