Abstract:
The Browse Basin is located on the North West Shelf of Australia, between the offshore Canning Basin to thesouthwest and the Bonaparte Basin to the northeast. Two large gas fields have been discovered in the central
part of the basin, Scott Reef and Brecknock. Both structures are fault-bounded but with some independent dip-closure. The gas is in Lower to Middle Jurassic sandstones, sealed by Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous claystones.
