As CEO and Managing Director of Strike Energy Limited over 8 years, Stuart led the company from a small exploration business to becoming an ASX200 listed entity, delivering multi-million-dollar revenues and groundbreaking achievements in the gas and energy industries. With extensive experience across Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia, he is a passionate advocate for a timely, reliable and sustainable energy transition. Stuart’s experience also includes management roles within Shell in exploration, commercial, strategy outside of his time in military leadership positions. His leadership focus is on innovation, team empowerment, and results-driven execution which has consistently delivered growth. Stuart was appointed to the Board of Elixir on 14 April 2025 as its Chief Executive Officer.
This month PESA Queensland welcomes Stuart Nicholls to present a technical luncheon on Elixir Energy progress maturing their project in the exciting Taroom Trough.
The Technical Lunch will be held at the Port Office Hotel in the Blue Room (Entry off Margaret Street).
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the PESA QLD Branch will be hosted prior to the commencement of the Technical Lunch (Note this was rescheduled from May due to unforeseen circumstances).

Elixir Energy has the largest acreage position in Queenslands exciting Taroom Trough, covering half a million net acres, diversified amongst the successfully explored plays and already containing 2.6TCF of independently certified resource. Come and join us to hear from newly appointed CEO Stuart Nicholls as he lays down the 3 year road map to the Company’s first reserves and production. The Taroom is set to be one of the hottest ‘basins’ in Australia over the coming years don’t miss your opportunity to hear why and how you might be a part of it.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the PESA QLD Branch will be hosted prior to the commencement of the Technical Lunch.
Members are encouraged to attend the AGM to have their say with the PESA QLD committee.
PESA QLD are always interested to have active involvement from our membership… and what better way than to take up a position on the PESA QLD Committee! Interested members who are keen to become a committee member are encouraged to lodge a nomination form (see link below).
