Abstract:
Australia is at the forefront of Carbon Capture and Sequestration, commonly known as CCS, initiatives but will not retain a competitive edge for long under current regulatory bottlenecks. Part 2 of our investigation into the science looks at emerging technologies in the seismic realm and what Australia has to do to fill up its depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs and rise to the top as a global leader in a new industry seen as critical to attaining net zero targets and preserving hydrocarbon production as a crucial feedstock for generations to come.
