Abstract:
The Elk/Antelope Gas Field is located in a complex zone of deformation at the front of the easternmost Papuan Fold Belt. The structure straddles a major change in the orientation of the foldbelt from a WNW/ESE strike in the west, to NW/SE strike in the east. To help unravel the tectonic development of the field, a process of seismic interpretation in time was undertaken in parallel with an iterative sequence of seismic depth conversion, structural forward modelling and cross-section balancing.
