Abstract: This talk is getting in to shallower water, following on from the previous deep water and slopes. We will look at fluvial incised valleys, cut in to the underlying sequence boundary and their often-associated basal transgressive marine sands. These units often contain reserves but can be relatively thin and, in developments, can have different poro-perms to the high stand deltas and fluvial. BTS are usually a well-only study (often not seen on seismic).
Post-workshop dinner: After the first workshop, several people went for an impromptu dinner. PESA is looking to put a dinner on a semi-formal footing for future workshops, so please use the booking form to indicate whether you would like to attend. The dinner will be at your own cost, but registering will allow PESA to make a reservation at a suitable restaurant.
Timing: Meet for drinks in Henry’s Bar at Ayers House at 5:00, with the workshop starting at 5:30
Bookings:
Members – workshop only $25
Members – workshop plus dinner reservation $25 plus dinner at own cost
