PESA WA invites you to our April technical luncheon on Thursday 15th April

“The role of geoscientists in the move to a low carbon future

Presented by Jayne Baird

Abstract

The energy industry is facing the challenges and opportunities of a transition to a low carbon future. Geoscientists are used to the cyclic nature of the oil and gas industry, the booms and busts, but this new test seems daunting. However, though decarbonisation must take place, there is a future for LNG in all scenarios for Net Zero by 2050. By drawing on examples from Woodside’s strategic planning for the low carbon future, we can demonstrate that  geoscientists and engineers have the experience, capability and mind-sets that make them well suited to thrive.
