PESA Sedimentology and Stratigraphy Interest Group meeting – Student special event
The Early Permian of the Perth Basin
12th of March, 1 – 4pm Carlisle core library and 4pm Balmoral Hotel, Victoria park
Are you enrolled in a Bachelor, Master, Doctorate or any university diploma? Do you have an interest in geosciences, sedimentology and stratigraphy but always found attending technical meetings quite intimidating? Then join us for our first Sedimentology and Stratigraphy interest group meeting organised for students.
For this meeting we will have a look at what happens in the Early Permian of the Perth basin. During this session, experienced sedimentologists and stratigraphers will guide you while you look at cores and answer any questions you will have. Do not see this meeting as a short course, but more as a way to dive into the realm of sedimentary basin and demystify professional events.
Don’t forget to book early as we have a hard limit of 15 attendees. Note this event is only open to PESA members. Not yet a member? Not a problem, membership is free for students, so just register here prior to booking your ticket. You need to be logged in as a member to be able to see the ticket booking facility at the bottom of this page. Tickets are free, but booking is essential. If you book and can no longer make it to the event, please let us know, so we can reallocate your place.
The meeting will start at 1pm at the GSWA Carlisle Core Library (37 Harris St, Carlisle) on the 15th of March. The event will be followed by networking drinks jointly organised with PESA WA Young Professionals at the Balmoral Hotel on Albany Highway.
