This month PESA and ASEG welcomes Dr Claudio Strobbia to present a technical luncheon entitled “Challenging Land Seismic Surveys”.

The Technical Lunch will be held at the Brisbane Hilton Hotel, in room 83.

Challenging Land Seismic Surveys

Claudio will discuss the challenges associated with land seismic surveys, from design to implementation to imaging.

Claudio will present some novel and innovative approaches to these challenges and demonstrate it is possible to design 3D surveys that result in usable images whilst at the same time maintaining a clear vision to reduce the field effort, safety exposure, costs, and the environmental impact of our seismic operations

Claudio looks forward to a robust discussion with the audience during the Q&A and after the talk.

Due to room availability at Brisbane Hilton, the November lunchtime technical talk will be held in room nearby to our usual venue location.  Please take note of the new directions.

The venue location can be accessed by two means:

1) Entry from Queen Street Mall
Enter the lifts located just to the left of Mick O’Malley’s Irish Pub, and take the lifts to Level 6, and walk to the guest lifts located in the centre of the main atrium and take the lift to Level 8.  Delegates will need to turn left out of the guests lifts and walk down the hallway to Room 83.

2) Entry from Elizabeth Street
Enter the foyer located on 190 Elizabeth Street, and take the lifts to Level 6 (Main Foyer). Walk to the guest lifts located in the centre of the main atrium and take the lift to Level 8.  Delegates will need to turn left out of the guests lifts and walk down the hallway to Room 83.
